"My family and I migrated to Naples from Philadelphia, PA in 1979 when I was transferred to one of only two healthcare communities in Naples; now there are many more. My background has been in geriatrics for over 40 years and counting. I love coming to work everyday and have found Assisted Living extremely satisfying after many years in the Nursing Home Industry. I have 3 children and 7 grandchildren (five live nearby) and two cats. Making a difference in people’s lives is an everyday challenge which is most rewarding for me."

"I am married to a wonderful woman named Joann. We have a 15 year old son and three beautiful labs, Boomer, Shannie and Datsy, all named after hockey players. I am a military veteran, serving 15 years in the Army, and I am currently an avid golfer with a love for baseball, football and hockey as well. I enjoy interacting with the residents here at Barrington Terrace and ensuring their billing needs are taken care of."

I am the only native Floridian on board and with that comes much teasing from my colleagues. My first position in geriatrics was in the early 90’s after I finished nursing school; I have been enchanted ever since. I have two sons, two grandchildren and one cat, I love them all dearly. During Fire Cat season, I have no friends as I am hard to live with when they don’t win. Working here has been very rewarding to me and has made a great impact on my life.

"I love working with Gina on new and creative ways to present food to our residents. I am married and am a mother to my four cats. My husband is a sheriff and stops in now and then to visit our residents. The residents are the most important part of my day and I look forward to serving their needs with love and care."

"Originally from Brooklyn, New York, I moved to sunny Naples, Florida in August of 2005. I joined the Barrington Terrace team in February of 2008. I recently graduated from Hodges University with a Bachelor’s in Business and Marketing. My grandmother resides at Barrington Terrace, and I am grateful to share a smile with her during the day. Any spare moment I have is spent with my fiancé, Justin, and our energetic puppy, Lily Belle. The most rewarding part of my day is spreading the word of the compassionate staff and high quality of life that Barrington Terrace offers the local community and educating healthcare professionals, residents, and their families that the possibilities available at Barrington Terrace are priceless."

"When you meet me, you would think I am totally inhibited and then when you see me with the residents, you will soon realize how much I love what I do. I enjoy the residents helping me plan the activities we are going to do and most of all I love doing whatever it is with them. I am married and have two wonderful daughters who also share my passion for the elderly. My husband and I enjoy Sushi and the companionship of our frisky cat."

"I am married with two beautiful doggies. I enjoy working in Assisted Living and recently completed Core Training. Everyday has been a new experience since I’ve come on board, and most of all I love solving resident problems and concerns. My heart is always warmed when a resident comes in my door as it gives me one more chance to let them know I care."

"I was born in the United States, delivered by my aunt who was a midwife in a small farming community in Harlingen, TX. I have three sisters and two wonderful parents who take pride in living in the United States, they will soon become citizens. Perhaps living on a farm introduced me to delectable foods for which I now have a passion. Arriving in Florida in my early teens to live with my grandparents and attended school, I soon found a job in a restaurant and was hooked. I moved to Naples and found a position in a Skilled Nursing Facility, then moved on to a large retirement community. Perhaps that is when I realized that not only did I have a passion for food but also for retirees. I worked for a year at Ritz Carlton until my present position opened. I love meeting and fulfilling the resident’s wishes. Besides cooking, my two favorite hobbies are wind surfing and model car building. It’s good to be back with the many professional friends and mentors I have worked with since the mid 80s."

"Everyone kids me about being a tough guy, but I am really a pussycat when it comes to the residents and their needs. I love talking with them and doing things for them. My wife also works here as a receptionist so we enjoy sharing stories each evening. I love my grandchildren and love bringing them in to see the residents. Soon, Gloria and I will welcome a new dog to our home."

"I’m originally from Indiana but I’ve lived in Florida for nearly 25 years. My husband, Jeff and I live in Naples with my teenage son, Noah, and our baby, Jake, who was born in March, 2008. I’ve worked in Assisted Living for over six years, and when the opportunity arose to join the amazing team here at Barrington Terrace I jumped at it! I love helping seniors find solutions to their challenges and enjoy helping them make the move into our beautiful community as easy as possible."

"I started working in geriatrics when my grandparents owned a nursing home many moons ago. I love making the residents happy and keeping our facility spotless. My team is spectacular and each and every one of them loves to work in our community and serve the residents’ needs. I think that’s what it’s all about! I am married and my children do not live nearby so having the residents as a surrogate family works well for me."
